I must admit, keeping my home organized is easier said than done. I’m always on the prowl for new home organizing tips and tricks that are practical and budget-friendly.

There’s no better place to find cheap organizing solutions than at the dollar store. From baskets to storage containers, the ideas are endless.

Dollar Store Organization Hacks – Organizing with dollar store bins, baskets, and containers

The easiest way for me to tackle the clutter in my home is with baskets, bins, and containers. Plastic storage bins, metal baskets, wicker baskets, airtight containers. They provide the best storage, and I can always find the perfect size container to complete the task.

Here are a few ways I’ve used dollar store baskets and bins  to organize items in my home:

Here’s a plastic storage bin that I have in my guest bathroom. As you can see, I’ve used it to organize some toiletries along with some cleaning supplies that I use regularly.

Dollar Store Organization Hacks – How I Use Mason Jars

Mason jars can be used for so many things, but I mainly use them for organizing.

Mason jars come in different shapes and sizes, and they’re clear so you can see everything inside of them.

You can use mason jars in your bathroom to store your cotton balls and makeup removers.

You can use mason jars on your work office desk as a writing utensil holder to organize pencils, pens, and markers.

Mason jars are versatile and super cute!

At my local dollar store, the mason jars are sold in a case or individually.

And like I mentioned before, they come in different shapes and sizes, so you find the perfect mason jar to fulfill your organizing needs.

Here’s an example of how I’ve used mason jars to organize my home:

First, I have a mason jar that I use to organize all of my phone chargers and USB cords.

One day I got tired of searching all over the house for my phone cords and decided to store them in a mason jar.

Believe me when I tell you this is the best dollar store organization hack I’ve ever discovered!

Another way I use mason jars in my home is by storing my makeup brushes in them.

This hack is a huge time saver when I’m trying to get my makeup done.

This mason jar is in my main bathroom. I use it to organize all of my q-tips (because you can never have too many q-tips).

This mason jar has an airtight rubber seal and latch, so I never have to worry about anything spilling out of it or anything getting into it.

Command Hooks – Dollar Tree Organization

In all of my years of learning new ways to organize my home, one thing I’ve learned is that you have to get creative.

You won’t always be able to stuff items into a basket and call it a day!

Sometimes you have to come up with innovative ways to solve your problems.

One of those innovative ways was to use the empty wall space around my house to organize things.

And I do that by using one little thing that you can find at the dollar store: command hooks ( also known as adhesive hooks).

Command hooks are going to be your best friend when it comes to utilizing empty wall space for organization.

I like to place command hooks on the inside of my bathroom cabinet doors and place a small plastic bin on the hooks.

Just like that, I have extra storage space for feminine products, toiletries, etc.

Here’s how I use command hooks in my kitchen:

First, I place the adhesive hook on the inside of my kitchen cabinet door.

Then, I use a binder clip to clip my seasoning packets together.

Finally, I place the handle of the binder clip through the hook and that’s all!

That’s just a simple and easy dollar store organization hack that anyone can do.
